A new Chapter

As we glide into the new chapter in our life  there is a feeling of relief.

What a crazy stressful well 15months really.

I feel like i had no time to do anything other than live day to day and get through what was happening that day.
Be it Hospital visits, sick baby, bills, house hunting, moving and the list goes on.

The over whelming feeling of having no home to go to is so scary and not something i want to experience ever again.

As a parent you wish to provide for your family and for most  part provide a roof over there head and to not have that was awful.

Aaliyah handled things as best she could but it did unsettle her having her things packed away staying one night here then another the next night then being out in an apartment for a few weeks.
Lacey-Jay was a wee trooper and nothing really fazed her although she does get quite car sick so the drive from Brisbane up to Airlie Beach was tricky at times but we got there.

I am so glad we decided to move to Airlie not Mackay, i personally don't fancy Mackay all that much and much prefer to be by the ocean.

Its funny because Hayden had mentioned moving to Airlie rather than Mackay a few times but i said no I'm not living there. I had been there on holiday previously but thought of it more as a holiday destination.

So with Mackays rental crisis there is not even a motel or holiday park with any vacancy's at all so we had to stay in Airlie in an apartment until we could secure housing.

On pulling into Airlie i said to Hayden lets live here i love it.

And i honestly do really like it here
It gives me a sense of Home and is not to big .

I like the fact everything is close by as it was such a hassle trying to load the kids in the car and race of down the motorway to shops etc in between bottle feeds and Aaliyahs day sleep etc.

There is so many beautiful places to explore and take advantage of close by its excites me to think about where we will head to next with our little family unit.

The housing in Airlie is quite tight also from the over flow of people from Mackay so we were lucky to find a place at short notice but things finally fell into place.

Our house is in a good central location and is smaller but i actually prefer having a smaller house so much easier to clean and everything slots into a place somewhere.

Over the past few weeks i have instantly noticed the increase in Beetles up here more so than Ants , also Lizards by the thousand, Flys & Birds i cant think of the name of the Bird im thinking of but my gosh they are horrible things.
They rome the streets at night and make this horrid sound like someone is being strangled they do it at first sign of daylight in the morning as well and its so loud.
Aaliyah woke crying this morning & i went in to find her hiding under the covers telling me there a Monkey outside, I explained to her its just birds.

While i was talking to the lady up the street the other night these big birds were roaming around she told me she feels like ringing there necks and her mother ran after one up the street.

On a serious note the best part about what we have been through is it has made us so much stronger as a couple and we have worked together not apart.

I so love watching Hayden with the girls he is such a awesome Dad and I'm so proud of him for providing for us all.

I look forward to a bigger brighter 2012  although i really cant complain to much as look at the gift we were given this year = Lacey-Jay and such a blessing she is.
