Growth

In just a few more days my Baby girl Lacey-Jay will turn the big 1.

The first year in a child's life goes by at such a fast pace, 

They really don't stay babies for very long at all.

Lacey-Jay is such a character & really quite funny to be around!

Being such a light sleeper if you even happen to walk past her door ever so quietly it will awaken her  & shes up kicking around in the bed laughing.

Each night before i go to bed i sneak in and tuck her back in nice and snugly warm to which she smartly opens her blinkers & graces me with the biggest Gummy smile wriggles her wee legs then rolls back over & back to sleep.

All around the house no matter where you could be you can always here a "Aaliyah Aaliyah" if Aaliyah isn't by her side.

To say she is so close with her big Sister isn't enough she just idolizes her & wants to be her.

They play beautifully together 90% of the time & theres chuckles at each other are most heart warming.

Lacey-Jay loves her food unlike her Sister & will happily tuck into anything & give it a bloody good go.

Dancing is another fave past time for Lacey-Jay for example we were at the Dr,s today & some music came on so shes straight up on her knees wiggling her toosh & arms. (its pretty cute)

I am in no rush for her to take off Walking in fact I'm hoping she stays crawling for a lot longer, Aaliyah was off at 10months so its nice to hold onto that last baby thing for a bit longer.

Lacey-Jay is much more of an adventurer than Aaliyah was, By that i mean she is in to anything and everything.

Lacey is constantly in my Kitchen Cupboards pulling things out left right & centre, the pantry being her favourite spot pulling things out one by one.

Bathrooms is another favourite & pulling the shower door open to get inside & open & close it a million times over.

Laundry oh yes if the baby gate isn't shut Properly she will ply open the washing powder cupboard and get amongst that.

She is in a hurry to learn things & figure them out & you can see on her face when she is thinking about trying to do something or attempting it.

Lacey-Jay will wait till the opportunity arises when no one is looking & then go for it :)

The one thing Lacey-jay isn't great with is travelling & will put on the tears big time in the car, She doesn't like being restrained and having to sit still..

The big plane trip to New Zealand should be interesting to say the least.

From very early on Lacey-Jay knew who her Daddy was & when he walked in that door from being away at work her face just lights up & that ever so contagious smile comes out & fills her wee face.

Its special to watch.

Although Lacey-Jay had worst case Reflux from week 1 & was terribly sick until just over 6 months things have now settled down & she is so much more relaxed and a real cruiser.

Lacey-Jay loves the water & bath time has been a hit from word go.

If i take Lacey-Jay out in the Pram for a walk or to the shops she is generally quiet as a mouse & just gazes at whats going on around her.

But if Lacey-Jay wants something or Aaliyah is annoying her you will definitely hear about it!, she has the biggest set of lungs

One thing i have learnt is how important Health is and i am just so grateful that Lacey is completely healthy and safe

From the moment i laid eyes on my baby or should i in fact say from the moment i heard her cry as she was brought into the word my love for her grew even more & again i learned new heights of how much you can love .

I had loved her right from the very start and After all her fighting to make it to this world i knew she would be special.

Lacey-Jay is a very happy Soul and a pleasure to have as my daughter
